In the third quarter of 2025, the top social apps in the Netherlands showed varied performance on the Android platform. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps exhibited distinct trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE demonstrated a notable fluctuation in its weekly revenue, starting at around $259K and experiencing a dip mid-quarter before rebounding to $223K by the end of September. Weekly downloads for TikTok started at approximately 29K, dropping to 14K in late July, and then climbing back to 29K in the last week of September. The app maintained a steady user base with active users hovering around 1.8M throughout the quarter.

Facebook saw its weekly revenue fluctuate slightly, peaking at around $9.7K in late July. Downloads for Facebook started at 24K, dipped mid-quarter, and rose to 23K by the end of September. Active users remained strong, starting at nearly 2.4M and slightly decreasing to 2.3M.

Instagram experienced an increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $15.5K in July. Downloads showed a gradual rise towards the end of the quarter, reaching 22K. Instagram maintained a robust user base with active users consistently around 2.6M.

Threads did not generate any revenue during the quarter. However, downloads remained steady, starting at 17K and ending at 11K. Active users showed some variability, beginning at 595K and ending at 586K.

Facebook Lite had a minimal revenue stream, reaching a high of $70 in the last week of September. Downloads increased from 5K to 7K mid-quarter before settling at 6K. The app's active users started at 54K and slightly decreased to 51K.
